BEST CAPPUCCINO IN ALL OF NEW MEXICO!!!!
Seriously! I'm a super coffee nerd who's been coming to NM for decades. Cloudcroft, Truth or Consequences, Sante Fe, Taos, Angel Fire and the rest of the ski mountains. I love this place, but well roasted, carefully brewed coffee is not one of its strong suits. Until now! :)))
THE COFFEE APOTHECARY hits the spot and is the perfect little local shop! They roast their own beans on what looks like a cute, gorgeous, little SF-10 San Franciscan Roaster (handmade in the US!) They care about the brewing process, and while I was there, greeted nearly every person by name, knew their milk preference, and welcomed new visitors with patience and sincerity. I don't wanna leave this little slice of heaven!
THIS is now a MUST HAVE stop when I'm in northern NM!!
If you want a great coffee, from wonderful, delightful, friendly people, you have to stop at The Coffee Apothecary! -

The shop is spotless and really attractive. There's indoor seating, which may or may not be available, because this place seems very popular.
I tried sitting at the tall tables but the stools felt too short so that wasn't comfortable. The regular tables were perfect, though.
There was a line which took a while, but that wasn't a problem for me. Someone in a rush might not feel that way.
There were some baked goods--mini pies, empanadas, muffins and biscotti. I stuck with caffeine. I got a chocolate latte. It was fine...just okay. Others in the shop seemed to enjoy their drinks.
The cashier/barista was polite, but I wouldn't say friendly.
There's parking, which is a godsend in Taos.
You can get 25 cents off your drink if you bring in a clean mug to use! -

I came here on a weekday afternoon to do some homework while visiting Taos. They have matcha lattes (my favorite!) so I got one and worked on my laptop for about 2 hours. There was plenty of seating but I'm sure it gets crowded on weekends or holidays.

Cool place! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the best iced latte I've had in a long while. The atmosphere is quaint and comfortable, and if I come back to Taos, we'll return!

No price menu so you just kinda order and see what the price is when the lady tells you. You leave the tip on the I pad as most places do these days. The chai latte was spicy and the choice of almond milk made it very desirable. It was $4.50 by the way. A good stop while on road from Santa Fe to visit Taos.
